- Challenges: Angela was concerned about age discrimination
and desired a resume suitable for a variety of different settings
(e.g., corporate, non-profit, etc.).
Strategy and Results: We developed the resume to capitalize
on Angela's business-management acumen, proven ability to manage
in a variety of settings, and strong strategic and tactical planning
skills. To minimize the potential for age discrimination, we omitted
Angela's degree date (obtained in the 1960s) and work history
prior to 1976. Angela was delighted with her new accomplishments-driven
and distinctively designed resume.

- Challenges: This technology director wanted to step into
an executive-management role and needed a resume that proved he's
executive-level material.
Strategy and Results: We developed a keyword-rich, achievement-oriented
resume to show that Rob has what it takes to succeed in an executive-management
position. His resume headline immediately positions him for executive
opportunities, while his Executive Profile further promotes his
qualifications for a higher level position.

- Challenges: Benjamin served in a senior financial advisory
role for a small, struggling entertainment company. The challenge
was to show how his leadership of turnaround initiatives helped
the company recover from bankruptcy and restore profitability.
Strategy and Results: His new resume focused on strategic
and financial planning, turnaround & crisis management, problem-solving
abilities, P&L management, SEC reporting, and expert negotiations
skills. The result is a resume that shows a "roll-up-your-sleeves"
financial executive with a proven history of turnaround results.

- Challenges: Sylvia initially came to us with the strong
desire to leave her current company without sacrificing her executive-level
position.
Strategy and Results: The resume we initially prepared
for Sylvia won her an interview (and subsequent job offer) within
a few weeks of her job search. The document was so successful
that Sylvia approached us again down the road to update her resume
when she felt ready to explore another promising opportunity.

- Challenges: A layoff left this top-performing sales executive
without a job, and he contracted with us to design a highly effective
resume to facilitate his career transition.
Strategy and Results: We created a resume that immediately
positions James as a leading expert in his field, with a strong
accomplishments statement incorporated right into his Profile
section. Concrete results of his business development and leadership
initiatives are apparent throughout his document.

- Challenges: Lacey had stepped away from a progressively
responsible career in managed-care leadership to oversee the provision
of a much smaller operation. She needed a resume that proved that
she could successfully return to the highly competitive managed
healthcare industry.
Strategy and Results: Lacey's Value Statement immediately
provides hiring managers with a snapshot of what she offersóhow
her expertise in healthcare management and industry reputation
would add value to a managed-care organization if hired. Her resume
highlights her top accomplishments and shows that she can step
into any leadership role and hit the ground running.

- Challenges: Jose's school administration career was on
a fast track, and he felt ready to advance once again from the
role of high school principal to a superintendent or assistant
superintendent position. For the right district, however, Jose
was willing to make a lateral move if future advancement opportunities
existed.
Strategy and Results: The resume we developed for Jose
effectively communicated his qualifications to enable the career
advancement he was seeking. His superior reputation, leadership
roles on major building/expansion projects, and track record of
delivering record-setting improvements to student assessment scores
were effectively documented and explained to equip him for the
next step in his career.

- Challenges: Elizabeth felt "pigeon-holed" by
her most recent experience directing residential mental health
facilities, and she wanted to return to a more hands-on position
in program and community development within the nonprofit sector.
Strategy and Results: Elizabeth's new resume succeeded
in articulating her nationwide reputation for excellence in nonprofit
program development and community partnership/alliance building.
After sending the resume to just one posted opening, Elizabeth
wrote: "I sent it off to the first job late last week and
the search firm that has been handling the job has been frantically
trying to reach me all weekend since she received it. So how about
that?!"

- Challenges: Michael wanted to get away from a heavy sales
focus on his previous resume in order to position himself for
a broader executive leadership role in general business operations
or consulting.
Strategy and Results: We packed Michael's resume with evidence
of his success not only in sales and marketing, but also in finance
and general operations. His track record of turnaround leadership
for Fortune 500 companies was touted throughout the document,
and the left-hand "Areas of Expertise" column shows
his "hybrid" skill set. Within days of receiving his
new document, Michael reported, "I have received a lot of
compliments on the resume."
